Solo Units are those that can auto clear most non-endgame maps by themselves. They are mostly used to clear maps while consuming as few resources as possible. Solo units are also recommended for newer players since they can focus on one unit only to start attempting events instead of a whole team, which make newer players faster to catch up and start farming for other units.
Solo units need Passives that allow them to reach high Evasion or Damage Reduction for survivability and Counterattack to finish maps quicker. They are therefore split into 2 types: EVA-Based and DR-based.
EVA-based Solo Units[]
The more common type of the 2. These units clear maps by evading and countering anything that tries to hit them. This type is typically easier to use as they can clear any maps with low accuracy enemies safely; however, EVA units are usually very fragile and cannot afford to take any hits. Due to this, as enemies gain higher accuracy these units tend to fall off.
These units use a full EVA build (270 points in the EVA stat). It's not always optimal, but it will guarantee they evade everything while allowing players to conserve stat reset items. In order to make up for the investment in EVA, equipment is there to help min-max other key stats.

DR-based Solo Units[]
The rarer of the 2 solo types. Like EVA-based solo units, DR-based solo units utilize Counterattack to retaliate against and defeat enemies; however, they do this by minimizing their damage taken rather than outright avoiding the attacks. It might sound and seem worse, as these units are more susceptible to being hit with various status effects. Nevertheless, DR-based solo units are generally able to shrug off these effects as well as handle high ACC enemies that EVA-based solo units struggle against.
They may be tagged as Defenders, but these units are almost always built as attackers (52% CRIT / 200% ACC / rest to ATK). Due to the innate DR in their kits boosting their survivability, their stat points can be fully invested into offense in order to clear maps more swiftly. Keep in mind that this is just a general guideline, rather than an optimal stat spread.

AoE-based Solo Units[]
A new type of Solo Unit available after 2.0 Update. These differs greatly from the two original types in a lot of ways:
- They rely heavily on high level / skills and good equipment, making them not suitable to be used by new players.
- They do not have counter / survivability of the other two and instead utilize their AoE Active Skill to quickly eliminate enemies before they can do any harm. As a result, they usually have faster clear time.
- They can only be used in relatively easy maps where they can one-shot enemies and fall off compared to the other two who can still fare well in later stages.
This type of Solo Units can be further divided into smaller groups
Full AoE[]
This group of units have access to Active Skills that can hit all 9 spaces at the same time, resulting in extremely fast clear time. The AP cost of such skill, however, is very high and they are expected to use it only once per wave. Thus, having good offensive equipment to one-shot enemies, as well as SPD/AP equipment to guarantee they get the first action.
This type can be used in both Resource Farming and EXP Farming.
Note:When used to farm exp for other characters, a leecher who can inflict "Marked" and act before the solo units can be dangerous, as "Marked" overrides the priority of AoE skills.

Additionally, there are units with Full AoE but need to enter their Form Change in order to do so, and thus require additional setup.
- Idle once and last until end of wave (require Maria or Battlefield Reboot OS Gamma)
- Idle once and last indefinitely (require Battlefield Reboot OS Alpha)
- Other conditions
Small AoE[]
This type can not hit all enemies at once, but still have good AoE that allows relatively fast clear regardless. They're usually used for weaker maps and requires less offensive capacity compared to Full AoE, and more friendly towards newer players in general, but good SPD/AP equipment are still recommended for shorter clear time and less risks.
Because they can not kill every enemy in one hit, making them and allies susceptible to damage, as well as the limited maps they can be used on, this type is used exclusively for Resource Farming.

- Some units with Column Attack
